KOI Legal Studio

law /mediation

We’re here to support you along the way

Sometimes for a short stretch. Sometimes for a longer period.
You set the direction; we know the way.
In matters where the law intersects with private life.

KOI’s Mission

The name KOI comes from the word “to soothe.” We believe that this is precisely what the law should do—restore peace and order amid uncertainty and chaos.

Our focus is on the family and the relationships that make it up—partners, spouses, parents, children, seniors, friends, and colleagues.

We operate based on three core values: presence, organization, and discretion.

Because even the most complex cases can be handled with ease.

We support you through disputes or changes.
We’re here to help when:

relationships evolve or endwhen partners or spouses decide to separate and need to work out new arrangements regarding the children, the functioning of the family, how to make parenting decisions, and decisions concerning joint ventures;

chaos is taking over financial matterswhen you need to make joint financial decisions, divide assets, or find a stable, well-thought-out structure;

life goes on across borderswhen family members live in different countries and resolving the matter requires navigating different legal systems and cultures;

the dispute requires prompt resolutionwhen a conflict requires a broader perspective and a balanced assessment, we take the burden of the proceedings off our clients’ shoulders and defend their interests;

we must protect what is most vulnerablewhen it comes to ensuring the safety of children or seniors, as well as the family’s privacy, reputation, and image.

We’re here for you in times like these.
Calmly, discreetly, and with a focus on what really matters.

Mediation

KOI Legal Studio offers not only legal support but also mediation services.

Mediation is a method for addressing situations where conflicting interests or differing perspectives among the parties involved in the same matter prevent a decision from being made or a solution from being reached.

The mediator’s role is to create a space for dialogue. They help improve communication, identify the participants’ needs, and seek solutions, but they do not resolve the matter or make decisions on behalf of the parties. In mediation, the participants remain in control of the process and the solution they develop, which gives those involved a sense of fairness and justice regarding the agreement they have worked out themselves.

Organizational Information

Due to the principle of the mediator’s impartiality, providing legal advice to one of the parties creates a conflict of interest that prevents the mediator from conducting mediation for both parties to the dispute.

Therefore, for matters related to mediation, please contact us at biuro@koilegal.pl, indicating that your inquiry concerns mediation.

In such a situation, before the mediator becomes involved in the case, another team member will provide informational and organizational support to ensure that the mediation process can begin impartially.

KOI Legal Studio was founded on the belief that in personal matters—and family matters in particular—the law should help restore order and peace, and that in the relationship between attorney and client, providing support on a partnership basis is just as important as guiding the client through the legal process.

I am an attorney specializing in family law, particularly in cases involving international elements. I support clients especially during times of change, separation, or conflict, when financial matters need to be settled, or when the family’s future requires well-considered solutions.

Jestem też mediatorem zrzeszonym m.in. w ramach sieci mediatorów przy międzynarodowej organizacji MiKK e. V. International Mediation Centre for Family Conflict and Child Abduction. Język mediacji i sposób spojrzenia na potrzeby i wartości stron sporu są moimi narzędziami w pracy prawniczej. Wielokrotnie dzieliłam się doświadczeniem w ramach AIJA — International Association of Young Lawyers czy International Council on Shared Parenting.

I place particular importance on protecting children’s rights in disputes between adults, for which I have been honored with the “Child-Friendly Law Firm” certificate, awarded by the Committee for the Protection of Children’s Rights.

In my work, I combine the experience I’ve gained from thousands of hours spent in conference rooms and courtrooms, at district attorney’s offices and police stations, with an approach grounded in attentiveness, structure, and discretion. In cases like these, what matters is not only knowledge of the law, but also the ability to accurately assess the risks and benefits while taking into account the resources available.

That is why KOI Legal Studio is built on three core values: presence, organization, and discretion.

Logbook

Notes from the Road — on the law, relationships, and anything else worth mentioning.

  • About grandparents

    I’m not the best at reporting on events as they happen. Conferences, meetings, and conversations often don’t “sink…

  • January…

    January was decidedly defined by (thoroughly enjoyable!) consultations on international matters. And while every case is different, certain…

Some decisions put an end to a matter.

And others shape the future.
We want to be part of the latter group.
